Who we are
Float is an AI-native video meeting app operated by Float at floatcall.com.
What Float handles
- Account information. You sign in through Clerk, our sign-in provider. Float receives your name, email address and the organizations you belong to.
- Meetings. Float carries meeting audio and video, and keeps the transcripts, chat messages and notes created in your meetings.
- Google Calendar. If you connect Google Calendar, Float reads and writes only the events it is asked to manage, such as adding a Float meeting link to an event. Float stores your Google account email, encrypted access tokens, and each managed event's identifiers and times. It does not store event descriptions or attendee lists.
How Float uses it
Float uses this data to run the service: to sign you in, run your meetings, and keep your calendar events in sync. The service providers that run parts of Float (hosting, sign-in, speech and AI models) process it for that purpose, and AI agents you bring into a meeting hear and read that meeting.
